Semester II

The module aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to carry out clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment of common clinical diseases in animals.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the module, students will be able to:

1. Explain the cause and pathogenesis of various clinical conditions.
2. Diagnose various clinical diseases in animals.
3. Perform clinical examination and treat various diseases.
4. Diagnose and treat non-specific disease conditions /multiple aetiology which are mainly management associated.
5. Identify system specific clinical diseases and conditions.
6. Calculate the dosage of drugs used in veterinary medicine with accurate dose rates.
7. Provide veterinary nursing care for animals.
